Two-way Voice Monitoring over IP.
When an alarm is activated, signals are sent over IP to a Receiver Conversion Device connected to one of your
existing POTS based alarm receivers. This removes the requirement to purchase new IP receivers and
protects your investment in existing equipment. The IP Alarms 8-line receiver
conversion devices are protocol independent and will allow your Dealers to send signals over IP from any PERS
- regardless of how old or obscure it is. This method of operation removes all compression normally used for
voice over IP applications and thus it requires a reasonable amount of bandwidth to function reliably.
Medical Monitoring Overview
A caregiver is someone who takes responsibility for the care and well-being of a loved one, family member or friend.
Caregivers often make the decision of which Emergency Service Providers to use.
A Personal Response Operator is a highly trained dedicated individual who's job it is to answer calls from
Senior Safety System 24/7/365.
Response Center is another for a medical monitoring center. These are the facilities where all calls
from seniors who need medical, emergency, or assistance from a fall are received. They are staffed at all times
by highly trained Personal Emergency Response operators.
Each PERS System has a rechargeable back-up battery that provides many hours of stand-by power supply
in the event of power failure or accidental disconnection from an electrical outlet.
The PERS will notify the Monitoring Center that you have a discharging or low battery.
An Inactivity Timer service notifies the Monitoring Center if the subscriber has not checked in within
an agreed period of time. Care should be taken as they can cause false alarms.
A Low Battery Warning will automatically alert the Medical Monitoring Center when the PERS unit battery is low.
IP Alarms have increased their investment in the development of a range of IP, GSM,
GPRS and Zigbee products and solutions for the Medical Monitoring Industry.
