ER-1 PERS Overview
The water-resistant personal emergency transmitter (PET) may be worn permanently,
even in the shower. The PET confirms an alarm transmission to the console with a
red indicator light and an audible beeper. Extended transmission range means the
signal reaches the console, even when outside in the garden. The PET is also
continuously monitored by the console, alerting the user when the ultra long life
battery is running low.
The ER-1 may be programmed to send automated emails to inform family, caregivers
and medical practitioners after an emergency activation has been dealt with by the
monitoring station. It even has an automated 'pill reminder’ function.
On receiving the emergency signal, the monitoring
station can talk to the end user via the ER-1 console
in one of three hands free modes, as selected by the
central station operator. Communications can be
hands free duplex, one way speak only or one way
listen only. These communication modes are dynamic
and are selected to ensure communications are clear
and accurate.
After an emergency activation has been dealt with
by the monitoring station, ER-1 can automatically
send up to three emails to caregivers, family or medical
practitioners.
The ER-1 can be sited on a table top or mounted on a
wall. For the visually impaired, each button on the
ER-1 is embossed with a universal symbol to identify
the button's function.
A user activated medication reminder function beeps
the console for up to thirty seconds, at a predetermined
time every 24 hour period. This function
helps ensure important medication is taken at the
correct time, each day.
